ACCESSIBILITY AWARENESS WEEK

The Center for Teaching & Learning is excited to host Accessibility Awareness Week for SFA faculty from March 23 through the 27, 2015.

This week-long event will offer practical information on how accessibility needs and compliance with relevant law impact the teaching and learning process. Sessions will include the following topics:

  • Faculty and (former) student perspective on accessibility from an SFA faculty member

  • Overview of the legal landscape in higher education

  • Common accommodations and how to prepare digital materials with universal design in mind

  • Optional experiential challenges

This event is made possible due to award monies from Brightspace (formerly Desire2Learn) for SFA's 2014 Desire2Excel Accessibility Award.
