ACTIVE LEARNING FLC
Research shows that active learning improves student outcomes and promotes student learning (Freeman, et. al., 2014; Hake, 1998; Prince, 2004; Ruiz Primo, et. al., 2011), and many faculty across the nation have begun making their courses more active. Facilitated by Dr. Heather Olson-Beal from the Department of Secondary Ed. & Educational Leadership, this five-part series is designed to help faculty in any discipline implement active learning strategies. Topics covered will include defining, planning for, implementing, and assessing active learning.
The series will take place during the Spring 2018 semester on the following dates from 2:00-3:30 PM:
